  • Now, make a selection of the mobile screen. To do this, go to the layer panel, click on the new layer “Screen”, then go to the left side’s tools panel and select the “Pen tool”. Now, make a path on the edge of the mobile screen and then join the path with the starting point. Now, press “CTRL+Enter” from the keyboard to convert the path into selection.

Step 2: Open a photo of animals and insert it in the main image file

  • Go to the “File” menu and select the “Open” option. Then, go to your image location and select your image and then click on the “Open” button. Your image will be opened in a new tab in photoshop afterward. Here,  I have chosen a photo of two baby goats.
  • Now, press “CTRL+A” from the keyboard to select the whole image, then press “CTRL+C” from the keyboard to copy the whole image, then come to the main image’s tab and press “CTRL+V” to paste the copied image. A new layer “Layer 2” will be added. Make sure that this layer is on top of all the layers. Rename this layer as “Baby goat”.
  • Now, we will adjust the size of the baby goats image we have inserted, adjust the size in a way where the two baby goats will be visible and popped up on the mobile screen. So, go to the layer panel, select the “Baby goats” layer, then press “CTRL+T” to activate the free transform. Now, drag the handler of the free transform outward to increase the size or drag inward to decrease the size and place the goat’s image on the mobile screen. If you are not able to figure out where you are putting the goats, decrease the opacity from the layer panel for a few moments, place the goats and after the placement has done increase the opacity again. Press “Enter” after adjusting the size.
  • Now, go to the layer panel, right click on the “Baby goats” layer and select the “Create clipping mask” option. You will see the image has been cropped.
  • Now duplicate the “Baby goats” layer. To do this, go to the layer panel, select the “Baby goats” layer and press “CTRL+J” from the keyboard. A new layer “Baby goats copy” will be created.
  • Now, make a selection of the goats. To do this, go to the layer panel, click on the “Baby goats copy” layer, then go to the left side’s tools panel and select the “Quick selection tool”. Now, brush over the goats. You will see that selection is selecting the area automatically. If you see that you have over-selected the area, press & hold the “ALT” button and then brush over the over-selected areas.
  • After making the selection, go to the layer panel and click on the “Add layer mask” button from the bottom of the layer panel. You will see that extra part that was beyond the mobile screen is removed.
  • Due to the image’s shape you may see some black space on the mobile screen, this means those arts are blank. So, you have to fill those blank spaces. Now, to fill those black spaces, we will need grass. So, you have to take a sample of grass from the goat’s image and paste on the blank area. To do this, go to the layer panel, select the “Baby goats” layer, then go to the left side’s tools panel and select the “Clone stamp tool”, then go to the top bar and set the opacity between 50% to 60%. Now, press & hold the “ALT” button and click on the grass area of the goat image to take the  sample. Now, brush on the blank area. The direction you will use to brush on the blank space, the same direction the clone stamp tool will take to copy the grass area you took the sample from. If any unwanted part appears while brushing, take the sample again and brush on the rest of the part. Do this process again and again to fill the blank.
  • Now, merge all the layers in a new layer. To do this, go to the layer panel, click on the top layer and then press “CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+E” from the keyboard. All the layers merged in a new layer “Layer 1”.
  • Now, go to the layer panel, click on the merged layer “Layer 1”, then go to the “Filter” menu and select the “Camera raw filter” option. A window with image preview will appear.
